We traded in our boardshorts and sunscreen for jackets and beanies this July. Summer turned into Winter while on the 24+ hour travel day to the Southern Hemisphere. We busted out our best/worst Kiwi accents, hired a 4×4, and toured the South Island on a mission for meat pies, scenery, and powder…..we bagged all three. The landscape in NZ is pretty crazy; lush rain forests, jagged alpine peaks, braided riverbeds, rugged coastline, pristine lakes, and beautiful pastures….literally something new around every corner. Here are the highlights; well, everything except the skiing…that’s a whole other post.
