What it’s all about

My good friend Rachel came out for a few days of skiing.  It was her first time in over 10 years.  On the way to the hill, she was really really nervous.  But she got over her nerves, did just fine, and had a great day.  She spotted a jump in the terrain park and decided that she wanted to hit it.  Only problem was she’d never gone off a jump in her life.  I told her to simply go slow and get a feel for it.  She didn’t listen and straight-lined it.  I couldn’t believe it.  It was so awesome to watch her get over her nerves, nail the jump, and see the elation spread across her face.  She was stoked!  And that’s what it’s all about.  She did it again the very next run:
