Nothing Exists….Until You Go There

Cities and countries are just places on a map or things you learned about in 7th grade geography….they only exist in the hazy corners of your mind.  Today we put another dot on the map at a historically important geographic locale.

I got nothin’ but Good Hope for all my peeps back in the states

This would have come in handy for all those old explorers

that there’s the cape

happy feet? nope, they were webbed

not exactly sure what this sign meant….

“peace, lil penguin homies”

these things are just running around down here

those explorers could have used this guy too

Time in South Africa’s coming to a close.  Brian heads back to the states tomorrow, and I’m going Cape Town – JoBurg – Zurich – Barcelona…meet up with Booser…. then a train ride to Pamplona…. 24+ hours of travel… gonna be a good day!

More cool shots. Mary loved looking at those same sites a couple years ago. Gotta get there one of these days. Lots of trips planned! I liked the cape shot.. rugged.

Wow…incredible pics. You know Houck, I’ve got a pretty good gig here in Israel, but I must admit I’m a bit jealous of this particular trip. So when are you & Huster headed to the land of milk & honey to visit us?
