Chillin’ Where It’s Chilly

Checked out the main drag of restaurants last night; pretty much the typical tourist traps.  We opted for a cliche place called Mama Africa’s, and headed in with low expectations and high skepticism.  The place was sweet!  A little band in the corner was rocking out while we chowed down on Kudu, Springbuck, Ostrich, and Crocodile.  The beverage of choice was a local beer called Bone Crusher.  Good times!

is there such thing as a wooden xylophone?…it sounded a lot like the steel drums. This guy wailed on it.

Newsflash: it’s Winter down here.  Cold, rainy, and nasty today.  I thought weather was always supposed to cooperate while sight-seeing; what gives?

the double decker was packed!

We still made the most of it….and saw as much of the city as we could between getting coffees and sushi.

What we did see of Camp’s Beach was incredible, it’s arguably the most dramatic coastline I’ve ever seen.  If we get any kind of sunset tomorrow, I’m B-lining it right back there.

Fingers crossed for some sunshine!
